Swag anyone?

Now here’s a good idea. The Schwaggin’ Wagon. Every time I go to a conference I usually return with 20+ t-shirts adorned with vendor’s logos and “smart” sayings like “.Net superstar” or “SQL King”. I usually keep one back to use for working in the garden or painting at home and give the other twenty or so to the salvation army.

Wouldn’t it be nice if each conference had a drop off bin for all of the swag we collect and don’t need, but that could be useful to others less fortunate?

Twitterwho?

I’ve started twittering… yay me! One the one hand, I feel like I should have done it a long time ago, on the other, I’m still figuring it out, and finally… while talking about twitter I realized that over 1/2 of the people I know have never heard of it. Really? how can that be? I’ve chosen not to use it for the past 6 months or so because, I admit it, I didn’t get it. But at least I heard of it.

Game night…

Tonight was game night with Kate, yes, I put my laptop away and the two of us played games all evening. It was a great time. One of the games we played was a board game at which I sucked, she won hands down… that game was “Perfect Wedding”… How fitting…

I was having lunch with my brother yesterday and he was recounting his trip to the country to spend a day at his friend’s place. At one point his friend’s mother asked them to go over to the neighbor’s place (no less then 20Km away) to pick up a cow trough. To my surprise, said cow trough was later used in the baptism of a baby.

After almost chocking on my wings from laughing so hard, I realized that I guess I’m “city folk” after all

God, the girlfriend dragged me to go see License to Wed… it was terrible. I had to remasculate afterwards by watching Die Hard: The Bloody Retribution.
