I love garlic, who doesn’t? Lucky us, garlic is now in season here in Ontario and just about every veggie and fruit stand, small farm stand and farmer’s market vendor has fresh garlic on hand.
The one garlic thing that I always love to have on hand is garlic butter. You can always find a use for it and it’s so simple to prepare!
What you’ll need:
3 heads of garlic
1 cup of butter (room temperature and cut into cubes)
1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
That’s it! It should last in the fridge for a good month… but it never does
Enjoy
I’ve just discovered that I can write a post to this blog via email. That’s a great feature that I’m hoping will help with my blogging more.
Well… the entire WordPress admin site changed since I’ve last logged on… That’s a good sign that steady blogging might now be my thing. However, I do find myself wanting to write again, so much has happened since I last posted. So, over the next few days, I’ll actually try and post more to catch up. We’ll see how long I keep up with it this time
Ever been away from your blog for so long that you’re not even sure where to pick it all up again? That’s where I find myself today. In all honesty, that’s where I’ve been for the past few weeks, I haven’t written about the things and the reasons why I started this blog in so long that the thought of writing has been… well… overwhelming. Do I talk about my new job? About how well Kate is doing and how proud I am of her? Or maybe of what it’s been like to be back on the dating scene?
It used to be that no one followed my blog and so it didn’t really matter what I wrote, or what tone I took, but that has changed. This blog is not popular by any stretch of the imagination, but my friends, and perhaps my co-workers do follow it from time to time. So it has become a rather censored version of what I would have otherwise written. I have absolutly nothing bad to say about anyone, but… sometimes even writing the simple stuff while knowing that it’s being read by those that I know seems odd.
Maybe this blog is destined to stay all Vanilla.
Thank you Melle for posting this great video. Up until tonight, I had no idea who Randy Pausch. I wish I had found out about him earlier in life. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did:
The organizers of MobileWeekend have decided to open up the even even more by making it a free event. The dates have also changed for what will hopefully be the last time. It is going to be held on Sep 12th to the 14th.
Heh, sometimes I wonder if this would have happened if these were say… RPG or Cobol developers?
I love Ruby devs
Just got back from Rib and Beer Fest with Melle, Andrew, and other great company. All I can say is… nom nom nom
If you’re in town, make sure you go this weekend, you won’t regret it.
Another great find. If you’ve ever played WOW or know someone that does, you’ll likely get a kick out of The Guild
Here’s the first episode for you enjoyment:
